Animal Asia Foundation as known AAF, was an NGO organization founded in 2000, focusing on animal welfare and anti-bear-farming. In this project, AAF commissioned us to design a mascot for the black bear, to deliver the message of stopping animal organ trading. This is also the first project I encountered in my design career. We named this mascot “Moonie” for the white moon-shaped pattern on the black bear’s chest. Meanwhile, a huge amount of research work and tryouts were put into the project. Finally, we got an adorable character that is active today.
